We are so honored to be recognized as a Natural Stone Institute Accredited Natural Stone Fabricator. Cutstone Company is the 104th location in North America to achieve the Natural Stone Fabricator accreditation.

Since our beginnings in 2003 in an old, dusty custom cabinet shop, we have focused on combining our skills and passion to provide exceptional craftsmanship and unmatched customer service. From the beginning of the project to the end, we want our commitment to excellence to influence everything we do. Being recognized by the Natural Stone Institute lets us know that we’re doing what we set out to do!

To become a Natural Stone Institute Accredited Natural Stone Fabricator, we had to successfully complete three phases of a rigorous application process. Phase one was the completion of a lengthy application that required the company to provide various documents and references which ensure that we are in compliance with the 10 standards of accreditation as laid out by the Natural Stone Institute Accreditation Commission.

Phase two required the company’s qualifying agent to pass a 200-question exam. The exam tested our knowledge and application of material usage, installation, fabrication, restoration, care and maintenance, administration, legal/contracts, and job site and shop safety. Phase three was a comprehensive site visit, which included a facility review, document review, and one or more installation site visits.

Being a part of the Natural Stone Institute is a huge honor for us as they serve more than 2,000 members in over 50 countries who represent every aspect of the natural stone industry, offering them a wide array of technical and training resources, professional development, regulatory advocacy, and networking events. They also have two prominent publications—the Dimension Stone Design Manual and Building Stone Magazine— that raise awareness in both the industry and the design communities for the promotion and best use of natural stone.
